    Municipal Experience

    While working at the City of North Vancouver, working with the BIA, I led and developed the placemaking program. I oversaw the creation and implementation of the Child, Youth and Family Friendly Strategy, and led the Youth Coalition bringing together over 30 service providers. I oversaw the homelessness portfolio, and assisted with the extreme weather shelter and homelessness count. I also sat on the Federal Housing First Committee.

    Community Engagement

    I am a current Board Director at Community Futures and OneSky Community Resources. I sit on the City’s Parks and Recreation Committee, Penticton Leadership Organization Committee, and Social Housing and Infrastructure Plan strategy group.

    I am also a member of SOICS Local Immigration Partnership Committee, and Workplace Inclusion Working Group.

    As a parent of a child with a disability, I am an advocate for inclusion, accessible child care, and community social services.

    Commitment to Reconciliation

    In my role at as Campus Administrator at Okanagan College, I have had the honor of working with both the Penticton Indian Band and Osoyoos Indian Band. We have a long journey ahead towards reconciliation, but I am committed to the Truth and Reconciliation Commissions’ 94 Calls to Action - both personally and professionally. We must treat this unceded territory with care and respect.
